Summary

[edit]
Description
English: This is the actual blast furnace at Govăjdia, Hunedoara County in Romania. The blast furnace was built on the site of an old foundry called "Old Limpetru". The blast furnace was built from 1806 till 1810 because the other blast furnace situated at Topliţa couldn't satisfy the need of iron. The blast furnace was shut down in 1924 after the start of the ironworks at Hunedoara in 1884.
This is a photo of a historic monument in județul Hunedoara, classified with number HD-II-m-A-03322.
