Description
Deutsch: Geflecktes Knabenkraut (Orchis maculata bzw. Dactylorhiza maculata) auf einer sumpfigen Feuchtwiese am Nordost-Ende des Herrensees in Strausberg, Blütenstand. Während 2012 noch ca. 200 Pflanzen auf dieser Wiese gefunden werden konnten, konnte ich 2016 nur noch 4 Pflanzen entdecken. Ich vermute, dass vor allem die zunehmede Trockenheit und Verbuschung dieser Stelle zum Rückgang der Orchideen geführt hat.
English: Flowering stand of the moorland spotted orchid (Dactylorhiza maculate or Orchis maculata) in a wet meadow on the northeastern end of lake Herrensee in Strausberg (Brandenburg, Germany). In 2012, I could find and estimated 200 plants in this area, but only 4 in 2016. I suspect that the increasingly dry conditions and increase in shrubs are largely responsible for this reduction in number.
