Multiple graphs representing disparate topics contain a node that corresponds to the same entity in the real world.

Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Multiple graphs representing disparate topics may contain nodes corresponding to the same entity in the real world. Here, two hypothetical knowledge graphs are pictured, one containing information about California state politics circa 2005, and the other cataloguing 1980's action films. The green shaded region depicts a successful 'entity alignment' between the two graphs, wherein two nodes have been correctly determined to represent the same person. Note the difference in information contained in each node (Arnold Schwarzenegger as a politician, vs Arnold Schwarzenegger as an actor), marking one of the significant challenges of entity alignment.
