Description
Nederlands: Kolonel der mariniers Marc Brinkman en civiel vertegenwoordiger Hans Peter van der Woude hebben vanaf vandaag de leiding over de politietrainingsgroep in de Afghaanse provincie Kunduz. Zij vormen het5e en laatste managementteam van de missie, die per 1 juli eindigt.

“Kunduz kan rekenen op onze inzet. Ik hoop dat onze samenwerking met de Afghaanse en internationale partners net zo succesvol is als bij onze voorgangers”, zei Brinkman tijdens de commando-overdacht vanmorgen.

Hij en Van der Woude nemen de taak over van kolonel Roland de Jong en Geoffrey van Leeuwen. Zij verzorgden de opzet van de Afghan Training and Mentoring Teams waarbij Afghaanse trainers zijn opgeleid om zelf nieuwe agenten te trainen.
