Title
Red Cross worker with injured soldiers at Haneda Air Force Base in Tokyo, ca. 1945
Description

Transcribed from photo inventory: "This is how some came back." Tokyo, Japan. An American Red Cross worker talks to wounded servicemen as he awaits his turn to be lifted in a C-54 evacuation plane at Haneda Air Force Base en route to a hospital in the United States. Officer of 4th Troop Carrier Command listens. U.S. Army Photo 11-507. Hanedakuko, Ota City, Tokyo 144-0041, Japan Works prepared by an officer or employee of the United States Government as part of that person's official duties are in the public domain.

Given "USAF" rather than "USAAF" on the loading equipment, this is probably 1947 or later. Seattle Public Library doesn't say much about the provenance of the image, but based on internal evidence this could be as late as the Korean War, when part of Haneda/Tokyo International was still a U.S. Air Force Base.
