Summary

[edit]
Description

The Messerschmitt Me 109 E as flown by Oberleutnant Franz von Werra. When captured he would later make history as the only German POW to escape and make it back to Germany to fight again as depicted in the film "the one that got away""

The model was built by me and modified to depict Werra's aircraft in the Kentish feild near the village of Marden. Apologies for the strange colour balance caused by the photo being nearly 30 years old leaving the Kentish village of Marden looking like the Western desert!
