Gary Roughead delivers his remarks during the christening and launch ceremony of the Military Sealift Command auxiliary dry cargo/ammunition ship USNS Carl Brashear (T-AKE 7) at General Dynamics NASSCO shipyard. The ship honors Master Chief Boatswain's Mate (Master Diver) Carl M. Brashear, one of the first black deep-sea divers and Master Divers and the first U.S. Navy diver to be restored to full active duty as an amputee.
