The photo is wild fruits known as " Nzanawa" found in semi-arid areas of Lower Eastern Kenya in the Kamba community

English: "Nzanawa" is a happy childhood wild fruit for any Akamba child in Africa. Nature blessed our community with these fruits we didn't sleep hungry. The tree, " Kithanawa" grows to about 6foot up with a huge bark. Ripe fruits will turn burnt yellow and tastes like dates or sweet bananas. This photo is a real definition of my rural childhood.
Français : "Nzanawa" est un fruit sauvage d'enfance heureuse pour tout enfant Akamba en Afrique. La nature a béni notre communauté avec ces fruits que nous n'avons pas dormi affamés. L'arbre, "Kithanawa" pousse à environ 6 pieds avec une énorme écorce. Les fruits mûrs deviendront jaunes brûlés et auront le goût de dattes ou de bananes sucrées. Cette photo est une véritable définition de mon enfance rurale.
