Overwriting of the old version

[edit]

I have overwritten with a new version the following files:

and uploaded an additional file:

The reason is that the Acrobatic pictogram was disarmonic, looked like there was a football (?) and seemed not too much related to the acro discipline; I put a human in a horizontal movement, which is more suitable for acrogymm.

I changed the Aerobic pictogram to give a more dynamic idea of the pictogram.

My initial aim was to change the Artistic pictogram too, but it is used by many wikis and it seems it has an historical root (even if the given link shows no evidences of it); in order not to overwrite it, I uploaded the "pictogram 2" version, with a jumping human which gives a more realistic idea of the discipline: an upside down shape should be more suitable for Acrogym than Artistic. --Gambo7 (talk) 21:05, 10 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Acrobatic pictogram showed main pairs stunt used in acrobatics gymnastics, not a football. It was not a perfect pictogram, I agree, but a new one have a problem too - it's shows singular gymnast (doing I don't know what) in the only one gymnastics discipline where there is no individual events. That was supposed to be a dinamic movement or something similar to an acrobatic position...
Btw rugby is played by 15 men but only one is represented in the pictogram... The problem is that 2 figures can be harldy understood, especially in small icons
Anyway I got what you meant and I tried to make it more clear --Gambo7 (talk) 11:12, 14 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I quite like the 2-figure version of the acrogym icon as well as the 2nd version of the artgym icon. When I made the pictograms, the idea was to capture an element or movement that couldn't be associated with any other sport (or discipline within the same sport). When I look at the aerogym icon, I see a movement that could be made by an artistic gymnast. Am I wrong? Is there something in aerobic gym that is unique to it and can be depicted? I think that some of the few momevents specific for aerobic are those very low on floor, such as this one, this one or this one. --Gambo7 (talk) 09:46, 18 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Well there is also routine on aerobic step, which is specific for aerobics here, here or here --Bearas (talk) 15:05, 23 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
