Janus Kamban (1913–2009) was a Faroese sculptor from Tórshavn and belonged to the "first generation" of professional artists in the Faroe Islands.
Sculptures

The bust Elinborg from 1937 shows Elinborg Lützen as an 18 year old lady, who become later the Faroe Island's most renowned graphical artist.

Chain-dance from 1939 shows the unique cultural heritage of the Faroes. No other country in Europe perform this kind of dance today. It is performed together with the old folk ballads without instruments.

Móðurmálið (Our motherlanguage) from 1948 is a hommage to V. U. Hammershaimb, who launched the Faroese language in 1846. Tórshavn, National Library.
