Hi. Could you add copyright tags to the images you uploaded? For now I have tagged your image as "GFDL", since it was your own image contributed to the commons. If there are no tags, the image may have to be deleted. Thanks -- Chris 73 23:58, 16 Nov 2004 (UTC)

Oops, I knew I forgot something on the Cromarty Firth picture. Thanks for tagging it; GFDL is right. I don't have to add any additional copyright info beyond the tag, right? Tcr25 01:22, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)
Your image info look good, describes what to see, where and when it was taken, and who took it. Adding the tag is all the copyright info we need. Thanks -- Chris 73 01:36, 17 Nov 2004 (UTC)

2019 election House map

Hello the two vacant North Carolina House seats have been decided in favor of the GOP could you please mark it on the map I'd do it myself but I lack the tools to do so. Thank you.Wollers14 (talk) 05:27, 11 September 2019 (UTC)

Thanks, just did it. Just in case you're looking for a freeware tool for editing SVGs, Inkscape is a good solution. Tcr25 (talk) 11:43, 11 September 2019 (UTC)

Hello again. The regular guy who edits the map of House retirements seems to be not available can you update Greg Walden's Oregon's 2nd district seat to show he's retiring? Thank you. Wollers14 (talk) 03:15, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

It's taken care of. Thanks. Tcr25 (talk) 12:30, 31 October 2019 (UTC)

So apparently Nice4what must be busy or has notifications turned off but on the 2020 House election page is gonna need to get updated to show Pete Visclosky's retirement in Indiana's 1st District. Can you do that? Thank you. Wollers14 (talk) 06:33, 7 November 2019 (UTC)

Hello again. Someone messed up the map can you fix it?Wollers14 (talk) 05:49, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

I reverted to the prior version. I don't see anything about a retirement in the the CA-47 district (the one mentioned in the edit). Tcr25 (talk) 13:20, 27 November 2019 (UTC)

So there's another retirement. It's Denny Heck of Washington's 10th district. Also Keep an eye on CA-50 Duncan Hunter is either retiring or resigning.Wollers14 (talk) 19:14, 4 December 2019 (UTC)

Marked them. I haven't found a KML file or other for the new NC boundaries, so I'm just sticking with the old map's borders for now. Tcr25 (talk) 22:34, 8 December 2019 (UTC)

Hey man there is another retirement. Ted Yoho of Florida’s 3rd district. Wollers14 (talk) 16:53, 10 December 2019 (UTC)

Jeff Van Drew is switching parties. Make NJ-02 a GOP held seat. Wollers14 (talk) 01:01, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

I'm going to wait until he makes an official statement. As of this morning (Dec. 15, 2019), I'm only seeing second-hand sources saying that Van Drew is switching. Tcr25 (talk) 13:39, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
Ok that’s a good call. Wollers14 (talk) 20:17, 15 December 2019 (UTC)

Hello my friend. Chris Jacobs a Republican will win in NY-27. Can you mark it as a GOP incumbent please? Thanks bro. Wollers14 (talk) 04:44, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Done ... looks like we need to keep an eye on a few other races for possible incumbent losses. Tcr25 (talk) 12:34, 24 June 2020 (UTC)

Hey man got some news. John Lewis of GA-05 has passed away which means his seat is now vacant. Also can you change the map key on the map from retiring incumbents to simply "Open Seats" since is makes more sense.Wollers14 (talk) 04:35, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Updated the map. For the legend, I changed it to "Open seat (previously head by Democrat/Libertarian/Republican)" do you think that works? Tcr25 (talk) 12:42, 18 July 2020 (UTC)

Hello again friend. Elliot Engel has lost his seat. Can you mark NY-16 as an open Dem seat? Also yeah the map key works sorry for the late response. Wollers14 (talk) 03:14, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

No problem. NY-16 was already marked as an open seat. Tcr25 (talk) 11:41, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Oh. It was so small I couldn't see it. I thought it would be in the small lower Manhattan thing on the side. My bad. Wollers14 (talk) 19:01, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I was confused about that at first, too, but NY16 is Yonkers and other areas north of NYC, which falls outside of the inset. Tcr25 (talk) 19:41, 4 August 2020 (UTC)

Yeah, I thought it was there but I've been looking at Carolyn Maloney's race for weeks it still hasn't been called. Well Steve Watkins in KS-02 will be tossed. So that seat's open.Wollers14 (talk) 02:34, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Also Lacy Clay of MO-01 got tossed as well. Wollers14 (talk) 05:20, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Looks like Kingofthedead got 'em updated. also looks like Maloney held on to her seat[1]. Tcr25 (talk) 12:23, 5 August 2020 (UTC)

Hey man looks like the results are not yet final but the open seats map may need to get moved and you might want to make a new map for the gains and holds of the election. But its your call.Wollers14 (talk) 16:21, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Hey bro can you update CA-39 to reflect a GOP gain in CA-39. I tried talking to the other guy who made the map but he's not responding. Wollers14 (talk) 01:36, 15 November 2020 (UTC)

New House Map

Mr. Matte has made an updated version of the House map with the new NC lines, you can use it for the 2020 house elections. . . https://commons.m.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:117th_U.S._Congress_House_districts.svg

Thanks, I hadn't found that yet ... Tcr25 (talk) 00:19, 9 December 2019 (UTC)

Map for 2021 United States House of Representatives elections

Hello, I see that your map is incredible, do you think you can create a similar one File:US House special elections 2019.svg but marking only the district 2 of Minnesota because the election will not be celebrated if not until February 9, 2021. AlSmith28 (talk) 16:18, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Hi, AlSmith28, thanks for the kind words, but the map was not my creation, I've just been updating it. That said, I've created the 2021 map you requested based off the 2020 Congressional map. You can find it here: File:US_House_special_elections_2021.svg. Tcr25 (talk) 20:23, 30 September 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much for creating the map. AlSmith28 (talk) 14:54, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Map for 2020 Wyoming State Senate election

Think you can add a map by district for the 2020 Wyoming State Senate Elections?

here you can find the districts:Find My Legislator

If you can do me that favor, your maps are amazing. AlSmith28 (talk) 14:59, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

Sorry AlSmith28, that's beyond my abilities at the moment. As I noted, I've been maintaining/upkeeping some maps, but not creating them from scratch. Tcr25 (talk) 18:08, 2 October 2020 (UTC)

And with what program can you create or edit the maps? AlSmith28 (talk) 02:01, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

They are vector files, so Inkscape or Adobe Illustrator Tcr25 (talk) 07:32, 3 October 2020 (UTC)

AlSmith28, Okay, I did some digging and was able to convert a Census Bureau KML file Shapefile for the boundaries into an SVG that could then be colored in Inkscape. The map is at File:2020 Wyoming state senate election map.svg and I added it to the en:2020 Wyoming State Senate election article. Tcr25 (talk) 17:02, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Thank you very much, it really is amazing. I asked many if they could add maps to my articles and no one wanted to, but thanks for taking the time and adding a map to one of my articles.AlSmith28 (talk) 20:10, 5 October 2020 (UTC)

Hello, regarding the map File:2020 Wyoming state senate election map.svg all the districts were won by the Republican party, I don't know if they can update it. AlSmith28 (talk) 21:11, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Yep, it's been taken care of, showing WY12 as an R gain and the rest as R holds. (You might have to force-refresh the page to see it.) Tcr25 (talk) 23:17, 4 November 2020 (UTC)

Making election maps

Hello I was just wondering what programs you use and how you make those maps for elections such as that 2021 governors election map — Preceding unsigned comment added by JoshRamirez29 (talk • contribs) 02:46, 11 July 2021 (UTC)

Hi JoshRamirez29, Basically, you need a program that can edit vector images. w:Inkscape (freeware) is what I usually use, but w:Adobe Illustrator is another common one. For the base file, I've both used preexisting blank files from here or created new ones by importing a KML map file. Tcr25 (talk) 21:28, 12 July 2021 (UTC)

Etienne de Perier

Hello

I found the complete signature of Etienne de Perier in which he is called "de Perier" with particle and not simply "Perier". This makes it possible to end the doubts since it is Etienne de Perier who calls himself that way. Please rename the page accordingly.

Signature of Étienne de Perier

Sincerely HCC789 (talk) 15:50, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Replied on en:Étienne Perier (governor), but this isn't any more definitive than File:Signature de Perier l'Ainé.png where he didn't sign with the "de". I'd also suggest you provide more complete sourcing for the new file; there's no indication of what sort of document this is from or when it was made and the URL is firewalled or otherwise unable to be reached from my end so I can't try to discover or add that information. —Tcr25 (talk) 16:00, 17 June 2022 (UTC)

Update request

Hello.

Can you color Bangladesh in green in File:World Metro systems.png (this PNG file is widely used across Wikipedia)? Dhaka Metro was opened on 28 December 2022.

Source: Dhaka Metro - Urbanrail.net

And can you redirect File:Метротой орнууд.png to File:World Metro systems.png? This map was created out of the latter and is not distinct in any way.

Yours sincerely, 31.200.17.120 05:24, 3 January 2023 (UTC)

Hi, I've updated the PNG. It was being used in articles on the Arabic, Hungarian, Mongolian, and Russian wikis; I updated those to point from the PNG to the SVG version. I don't have rights to redirect File:Метротой орнууд.png, but will try to see about flagging it as a duplicate or something similar that might elevate the question. — Tcr25 (talk) 16:18, 3 January 2023 (UTC)
Thank you very much for the update! 31.200.17.120 05:35, 4 January 2023 (UTC)

South Sudan borders

Hello.

Can you add the borders of South Sudan in the maps in the request section "South Sudan borders required in orthographic maps" which I added in Commons:Graphic Lab/Map workshop back in October 2022?

Can you also add the border of South Sudan in File:US and Russian bases and facilities.jpg as well?

I also requested an update of this map in Commons:Graphic Lab/Map workshop back in October 2022, which is just below the "South Sudan borders required in orthographic maps" section. This map also requires a few other corrections as well, which I addressed in this section. --Maphobbyist (talk) 14:16, 26 January 2023 (UTC)

Bon courage. --B-noa (talk) 21:39, 12 June 2023 (UTC)

#NotBetsy

Hi. Received your thanks, so I guess you must be keeping an eye on Fleischbein's Creole woman portrait in the Nola History Collection. The image I uploaded may just be a higher-res version of the one you worked on, and I thought about overwriting it, but I decided to be safe and keep it separate, just in case. I did, however, steal shamelessly from your work on the description and notes :) I was in New Orleans a couple of days ago and I took several photographs of this painting with the intention of uploading them to the Commons when I got home. But the Google Art version is so much better than any of mine that I gave up and used that one instead. So it goes. Cheers, Crawdad Blues (talk) 20:23, 12 October 2023 (UTC)

Overwriting would be fine. I hope you had a great time in New Orleans and thanks for adding a higher-quality pic. I have in the back of my mind plans to create an en-wiki article on the painting, but haven't yet, so I'm glad to have a better version of the picture to include when I get around to writing something. —Tcr25 (talk) 23:21, 12 October 2023 (UTC)
