Apple i-

Anyone keeping track of new formations based on Apple's iProducts? Not bad etymologies of why Apple used the prefix in the first place (that was marketing), but new formations meaning "of or related to Apple products." IPhony is pretty obvious, but curious if any coinages seem likely to become actual words. -LlywelynII 16:50, 23 July 2009 (UTC)

One company, especially (Apple products), but I've seen it elsewhere (iGoogle, iWireless, etc.) as a takeoff on Apple's "i-" thing. But it IS almost exclusively Apple that uses this prefix... I don't think that "i-" needs this definition. L☺g☺maniac chat? 13:08, 9 July 2009 (UTC)

@Mar vin kaiser @Ysrael214, making a habit of puttin questions into wikt mismo instead of wiktcord... 2nd definition,.. isnt that object trigger... and... it also seems to be used to replace -in when borrowing English so. i-download not downloadin, i-recycle not recyclin, so you wouldnt have to worry about suffixes... it would be nice to include that... note.. I am new here and apologies for chiming in. I think what @Houflings meant is that in the example "Itapon mo 'yan sa basurahan", "iyan" is focused, and "iyan" is the Object/Patient, not the Agent of throwing. Simple9371 (talk) 17:37, 12 April 2023 (UTC)
