Regular season
2020 opponents
Listed below are the Chiefs' opponents for 2020. Exact dates and times will be announced in the spring.[1]
As the defending Super Bowl champions, the Chiefs earned the right to host the NFL Kickoff Game to open the season on September 10. However, their Major League Baseball counterparts, the Kansas City Royals, are scheduled for a home afternoon game on that day, creating a possible conflict, since the Chiefs' and Royals' respective stadiums share parking facilities. If it is determined that there is insufficient time between games, the Chiefs may instead face the same scenario as the 2013 Baltimore Ravens, when a scheduling conflict with the Baltimore Orioles forced the Ravens to open that season on the road.[2]
