Maryam Moshiri (29) is a journalist and newsreader at BBC News. She is a regular presenter of the Business News on BBC News 24, and is also a weekend presenter on BBC World News.
She started her career as a business reporter for Independent Radio News.
Maryam's sister, Nazanine Moshiri, is a London based prsenter and correspondent with Al Jazeera English having previously been a newsreader and reporter on ITV's London Tonight and the ITV Morning News [1]
Both Maryam and Nazanine were born in Tehran, and came to London with their parents before the Iranian Revolution.
