Maryam Moshiri

Maryam Moshiri is a journalist and newsreader. She is a regular presenter of the afternoon and evening business news on BBC News, the corporation's rolling 24 hour news channel, and is also a weekend presenter on BBC World News. She started her career as a business reporter for Independent Radio News.[1]

Maryam's sister, Nazanine Moshiri, is a London based presenter and correspondent with Al Jazeera English having previously been a newsreader and reporter on ITV's London Tonight and the ITV Morning News.

Both Maryam and Nazanine were born in Tehran, and came to London with their parents before the Iranian Revolution.
