Note

  1. Airtel has acquired Telenor[3] and Tata Teleservices.[4]
  2. Vodafone and Idea have still not merged [5]
  3. Reliance Communications and MTS have completed merger. [6]
  4. A merger of state-owned telecom companies BSNL and MTNL is being mulled over by the Indian Government.[7]
  5. Reliance communications is shutting down its services and in many circles it has already stopped.[8]
