NOTE.

  1. Airtel has acquired Telenor and Tata Teleservices.
  2. Vodafone and Idea have still not merged 
  3. Reliance Communications & MTS have merged.[6]
  4. Reliance Jio has acquired Reliance Communications' spectrum, towers, and optical fiber cable business for an undisclosed amount, thus marking the company's exit from consumer telecom business.[7]
  5. A merger of state-owned telecom companies BSNL and MTNL is being mulled over by the Indian Government.
