MorMor (born 1992 in Toronto) is the stage name of Seth Nyquist, a Canadian indie pop singer and songwriter.

Life

Seth Nyquist was born in Toronto, where he grew up with his adoptive mother, English professor Mary Nyquist, and his sister.[1][2][3] Nyquist was singing in the school choir and played trumpet in a band.[2]

After he finished school, Nyquist started to study sociology at Toronto's Ryerson University.[2] He dropped out after one semester and focused on his musical career. He took piano and vocal training.[2]

In 2015 he released his debut EP Live For Nothing under the moniker MorMor, which was inspired by his late grandmother.[4] In 2018 MoMor released the EP Heaven’s Only Wishful through his own label Don’t Guess.[2]
