The National Scouting Museum is located at 1329 West Walnut Hill Lane in Irving, Texas. It was founded in 1959 in New Brunswick, New Jersey. In 1986, it was moved to Murray State University in western Kentucky. In October, 2002, it moved to its present location near Irving Texas.

The museum floor is 53,000 square feet, the website notes.
