Abhay Chautala was born on 14th February, 1963 in Haryana to Om Prakash Chautala and Sneh Lata. Being the grandson of Chaudhary Devi Lal, he was associated in politics from his early days and took active participation in Indian politics after completing his Bachelors.
Political Career
He started his political career by contesting election for the membership of his village Panchayat and severed as Upsarpanch of Chautala village Panchayat for one term. Then he went on to contest election from Rori Assembly Constituency held in the year 2000 and won the seat with a record number of votes. He forcefully raised the issues pertaining to the development needs of his constituency as a member of Haryana Legislative Assembly he served the people of his constituency by opening new educational institutions, building much needed roads and bridges, primary health centers and also provided other basic facilities to better the living conditions of the people. When he represented Rori constituency in the Haryana assembly, he successfully pleaded for opening one Government Engineering College "Jananayak Chaudhary Devi Lal Memorial College" at Panniwala Mota.
He was elected as an MLA from Darba Kalan in by-election held in the year 2000. In early 2005, he turned back to grass roots level politics and joined the lection fray for the membership of Zila Parishad. He was elected President of the Zila Parishad, Sirsa District in 2005 and is presently holding this assignment with distinction.
Abhay Singh Chautala won the by-election from Ellanabad Constituency for Haryana Assembly in 2009. He entered the Haryana Vidhan Sabha for the second time as a custodian of the voice of the common people in general and the youth of the state in particular. [1].

Abhay Chautala has been honored with Khel Ratna Award for his exceptional performance in volleyball [2].
