I spent most of my childhood there and attended Dougherty County Schools. There is a bit of a "bump out" on the map that encompasses Acree. I was once told that the bump out was to accomodate the place further down Sylvester Road where alcohol was sold and served. I suppose at that time Dougherty was wet and Worth was dry.). Acree is an unincorporated community in Dougherty County, in the U.S. state of Georgia.[1]

History

A post office called Acree was established in 1881, and remained in operation until 1955.[2] A variant name was "Davis".[3]
