The Bachelor of Sacred Theology (Latin: Sacrae Theologiae Baccalaureus; abbreviated STB) is an undergraduate graduate-level academic degree in theology.

The Bachelor of Sacred Theology is conferred by number of Ecclesiastical universities. It is an undergraduate degree, although with entry requirements equivalent to two years of undergraduate philosophical studies. Often, a reading level of Latin is required.[1]

The STB is the first of three ecclesiastical degrees in theology (the second and third are the Licentiate of Sacred Theology, similar to a Master's degree and Doctor of Sacred Theology respectively),[2] and as such is granted by ecclesiastical faculties under the authority of the Holy See. The STB is awarded upon successful completion of the first cycle, a three-year course of studies that aims for a comprehensive competence in theology.
