In 1976 the site became the eastern terminus of the Bala Lake Railway, now named Bala (Llyn Tegid).

History

Opened by the Corwen and Bala / Bala and Dollgelly Railway it was replaced with the Blanau and Festiniog Railway station. The Great Western Railway ran the railway on either side of the Grouping of 1923, opening the Bala Lake Halt in the 1930s. The line then passed on to British Railways on nationalisation in 1948, and was then closed by the British Railways Board.

In 1976 the Bala Lake Railway opened its eastern terminus on the site.
