Barvenkovo–Lozovaya offensive

The Barvinkove-Losowaja Operation was was a successful Red Army operation on the Eastern Front in the European Theatre of World War II; it took place between 18 and 31 January 1942 [1]. The Red Army advanced 90-100 cilometres and smashed 3 german divisions (298, 68 and 257 infantry divisions). 44 and 295 german divisions had big losses. According to Soviet data Germany lost 25.000 dead soldiers. [2]
