Maeda was never learned traditional jujutsu, was no practicioner of the jujutsu of old and taught no such thing to the Gracie. Judo was merely at the time still commonly referred to as jujutsu or Kano-jujutsu at the time. Maeda was a newaza specialist. This is clearly also highlighted in the body of the article. undo
