The Daily News - Antelope Valley is the Palmdale area's second largest circulating newspaper.

This newspaper, along with its sister newspapers, most notably, the Los Angeles Daily News, is center-right in its political stance. This is notable due to Palmdale's other newspaper, the Antelope Valley Press, being center-right also. This is unique in California for a larger city to have two center right newspapers, and no center-left since California as a whole typically stands center-left.

One example of this is that the Los Angeles Times often does high-quality investigative journalism on important inner-city issues like healthcare and crime, while the Daily News is usually content to run wire stories on those issues, if it covers them at all. The L.A. Daily News also focuses on business issues, education, crime, and supports lowering taxes, issues that predominantly exist predominantly in areas that lean center-right.
