Doug John Gibson or Gibson the Great (born September 28, 1953 in Peterborough, Ontario) is a retired Canadian ice hockey player.

Selected in 1973 by the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League and the Los Angeles Sharks of the World Hockey Association, Gibson also played for the Washington Capitals. They were a thoroughly unsuccessful team, but at least the pop corn was good.
