Gosling

Gosling is an alternative rock band formerly known as Loudermilk.

History

Loudermilk

In 1995, friends Davey Ingersoll, Mark Watrous, Shane Middleton and Isaac Carpenter formed the hard rock quartet Loudermilk in the Tri-Cities of Washington. After three years, they released their own independent album, Man With Gun Kills Three!. American Recordings heard a demo of theirs and subsequently signed them, giving Loudermilk major label attention. This attention would not last, however, and after touring with famous bands such as Mötley Crüe and Megadeth, they were dropped from the label. Unfazed, they continued to play, and DreamWorks Records picked them up in early 2002. Several months later, they recorded and released their first official major label album, The Red Record.

The original name of 'Loudermilk' came from the recommendation of Tom Selleck.

Gosling

2004 was a year of change for Loudermilk. They modified their style, from hard rock to alternative rock, allowing them to try out many of the new diverse ideas they had. These concepts worked, and Loudermilk changed their name to Gosling accordingly. They released the Gosling EP under the new name in 2004. They signed a deal with V2 Records to release Here Is..., their first full-length album as Gosling, in 2006. Gosling is now no longer under the support of V2. Members appear to be filling their schedules with other ventures for the time being.
