At Metacritic, which assigns a normalized rating out of 100 to reviews from critics, I MIght Be Wrong has an average score of 76 based on 16 reviews, which indicates "generally favorable" reviews.[3]

AllMusic's Sam Samuelson thought that "it might have been wiser to release Amnesiac and some of the material from this release as a complete Kid A sessions package, rather than a couple of thrown-together releases."[4] Stephen Thompson of The A.V. Club wrote: "Though marred by characteristically unrevealing packaging and inexplicable brevity, I Might Be Wrong casts new light on the band's much-examined recent material."[5] Entertainment.ie critic Andrew Lynch wrote: "Unlike most live albums, this one captures some of the excitement of actually being there and gives Radiohead back the human dimension they've recently been in danger of losing."[6]
