Jo Ann Hackett

Jo Ann Hackett is an American Old Testament and Biblical Hebrew scholar. She is Professor of Middle Eastern Studies and Religious Studies at the University of Texas at Austin.[1]

Hackett studied at DePauw University, Indiana University, and Harvard University. She previously taught at Occidental College, Indiana University, and Harvard.

In 2015, a Festschrift was published in her honor. Epigraphy, Philology, and the Hebrew Bible: Methodological Perspectives on Philological and Comparative Study of the Hebrew Bible in Honor of Jo Ann Hackett included contributions from Gary A. Rendsburg and F. W. Dobbs-Allsopp.
