KOKH 25 "Fox Oklahoma City" is the FOX affiliate for Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. It is owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group.

History

KOKH started as an independent educational station in 1959. In the 1970s, KOKH became an independent station. KOKH became a FOX affiliate in 1986.

News

In May 1997, KOKH launched a nightly newscast titled The Nine O'Clock News. Jack Bowen and Kirsten McIntyre were the first anchors for the newscast. The Nine O'Clock News expanded to an hour-long newscast in August 1998. The Nine O'Clock News ran only on Monday through Fridays until September 1999 when the newscast began airing seven nights a week. KOKH's Primetime News at 9:00 as it is now called became part of Sinclair's News Central adding News Central's national news updates and weather forecasts in the newscasts in March 2003. In early 2004, KOKH launched a companion newscast, FOX25 Late Edition airing weeknights at 10:00.

KOKH will begin airing lottery drawings from the Oklahoma Lottery starting Thursday, November 10, during the FOX Primetime News at 9:00. KOKH's sister station KOCB 34 will simulcast the drawings.
