Skate It is an in-production video game by EA Montreal / Black Box for the Nintendo Wii and Nintendo DS. Not to be confused as a true sequel to 2007's skate, Skate It is the original game brought to the Wii and DS as a spinoff of the original smash hit. The game is expected to be released in 2008.

First Details

Because the Wii and DS lack joysticks that were at the forefront of the original game, the controls for Skate It had to be tweaked to accommodate the new controls. The skate engine is being reused in the Wii version and will support 480p and widescreen. Instant Replay will also return and the Wii balance board will also be supported and encouraged for use with the game. The Wii version will offer a a deep and unique career progression that allows you to earn sponsors, unlock gear, and for the first time travel the world. In addition a wide variety of multiplayer modes will be made available.[1]
