The "first search engine ever invented"? In 1990? Doubtful.

The first *Internet* search engine ever invented? Perhaps, but seems unlikely.

archie description

I've just listened to a radio interview with the guy who created this (BBC Radio 4- should be a podcast) and he's said that it had "nothing to do with the cartoon character". It was simply archive without the v. I'm going to remove the offending passage. 94.195.5.216 (talk) 09:47, 7 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
