On 31st December 2015, I removed an odd claim that Mrs. Lopes was "a member of the Astor family". Monkelese reverted my removal. It is clear that Mrs. Lopes was born into the Parker Bowles family and married into the Lopes family. It is also clear that Mr. Lopes is descended from the Astor family. However, a person is not a member of every family from whom one is descended, let alone a member of every family from whom their spouse is descended. Mr. Lopes is descended from a great number of well-known and influential families, and we could easily increase the length of this article by several orders of magnitude by listing them. He is not, however, a member of any of these families, apart from his own (by which I mean the Lopes family) and neither is his wife.
