Voices

Does anyone knows the voices of Katz and Shirley? Loolylolly1997 (talk) 22:04, 29 December 2007 (UTC)

Recurring

Theres this red headed guy with a mustache who keeps coming back in courage(Likely as a general or with another job).Courage notices also in that king ramses episiode. What's his name? I'm watchin' you,mon ([[User talk:Loolylolly1997|talk]]) 15:27, 13 January 2008 (UTC)

Why are we listing every single last character?

Wikipedia is not a fansite. If we are to list characters other than just the main characters, we should only list the major secondary characters and MAYBE recurring villains. Certainly not, say, the demon in the mattress. Information on one-shot characters should be limited to the episode summary in the episode list. This article is way too long for what it is, and contains loads of non-notable information. I tried to clean it up earlier, but my edit was reverted. ~ Oni Lukos ct 13:01, 17 January 2008 (UTC)

Well I did leave somethings out. I didn't list everything. There are some characters that are notable because they are parody of hit movies, and because they are favorites of fans such as the demon in the mattress. Yeah there are some villains that reoccurring, and there are some characters that I didn't even mention like that pig family that makes hamburgers in the form of people. Do you know of any more websites I can cite stuff off of because none of the info I put is my own research or opinion.Mcelite (talk) 16:11, 17 January 2008 (UTC)mcelite

I noticed on minor characters there was no mention of the Gernaral/Admiral/Wing commander, he appears quite often so i think he deserves a mention —Preceding unsigned comment added by195.172.183.147 (talk) 13:17, 23 January 2008 (UTC)

Yep, he does appear on alot of episiodes, but I've never heard his name. He also has red or white hair (depending on episiode.) I'm watchin' you,mon (talk) 00:45, 13 February 2008 (UTC)

who's the asian guy that always yells, "watch where you goin', you fool!" ? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Sflynn17 (talkcontribs) 17:53, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

I've made a few Major Edits to this page

Main Characters

Removed some pictures. It's rather pointless to have four pictures for three characters.

Secondary Characters

Removed the Duck Brothers. Removed the Valkyries.

Both characters are only used in one episode and are mostly irrelevant in the scope of Courage Characters.

Villains

Removed pointless reference to Salad Fingers in Conway the Contaminationist. Removed word "actually" in The Great Fusilli. Removed Voice actor from Katz for cosisticy.

Edits Undone I've seen that my changes have been undone by Mcelite. Thats alright, but I can't see the page going anywhere is every change is simply going to be undone. May I at least make the case that the "Eustace and Courage vs. the weremole" picture is not only pointless, it messes up some of the wikipedia layout. 98.200.49.5 (talk) 19:31, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Quite honestly, this page needs a lot of work, but Mcelite is being a bit defensive about the content of the page and has reverted one of my edits to it also. ~ Oni Lukos ct 19:38, 2 February 2008 (UTC)
Ok. Either way I'm going to keep a close eye here and try to do some cleaning. (for discussion's sake I'm 98.200.49.5)TehSpud (talk) 23:52, 2 February 2008 (UTC).

New Changes Just added a bunch of voice actors to the characters. Sorry for all the changes so close together I'm still trying to get a hang of the formating. I got the voices from http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0220880/fullcredits#cast I don't know if it needs to be added to the list of references or if it does how I would do that. TehSpud (talk) 23:52, 2 February 2008 (UTC)

Hi. Sorry if i seemed mean... Yes it needs to be referenced so you don't have some that is really strict come along, and remove the voice names. I'm gonna have to add 2 more characters that are reoccuring that completely slipped my mind.Mcelite (talk) 00:16, 3 February 2008 (UTC)mcelite

Oh it's fine, I can perfectly understand an undo to removal of data. I'm thinking of referring to The SpongeBob list of characters. for the formation of the article since that seems to be one of the few List of Character articles that has no citations.TehSpud (talk) 00:49, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Sweeney Todd Rumor

Can anyone verify the article's claim that Freaky Fred is based on Sweeney Todd? I believe he is but I don't think it's good style to have a rumor in the article. TehSpud (talk) 22:40, 3 February 2008 (UTC)

Ok I'm going to hide it for right now using <!-- --> TehSpud (talk) 01:23, 4 February 2008 (UTC)

Yeah I'm not fully sure if he is either. I'll see if I can possibly find any info about this. Feel free to help u may beat me to it.Mcelite (talk) 06:14, 4 February 2008 (UTC)mcelite

According to the Sweeney Todd article, both Freaky Fred and Swiney Hog are based around at least the story of Sweeney Todd. TehSpud (talk) 17:15, 6 February 2008 (UTC)
Blah, Sorry for more Indipedent Unverified Research but Freaky Fred ans Swiney Hog are probably based around Sweeney Todd and Mrs. Lovett respectively Spud Hai/watidone 02:17, 8 February 2008 (UTC)

Alien Brain

Should the section on Alien Brain be kept especially since he isn't seen again nor was he an extreme villain e.g. Katz. I really don't see a reason to mention him since he was not of such importance.Mcelite (talk) 03:44, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

I can say the same thing of a lot of characters on this list, e.g. Zalost. I think they should go. Oni Lukos ct 04:21, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

May be a section for less notable villians should be made? Most of the villians do make reappearances, but I agree some really weren't that important.Mcelite (talk) 15:45, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Not so much, really. Of the list of villains we have, I've struck out the ones that don't make reappearances (as far as I can remember, at least).
  • 3.1 Benton Tarantella
  • 3.2 Cajun Fox
  • 3.3 Conway the Contaminationist
  • 3.4 Cousin Freaky Fred
  • 3.5 Demon in the Mattress
  • 3.6 Dr. Gerbil
  • 3.7 Dr. LeQuack
  • 3.8 Dr. Zalost
  • 3.9 Goose God
  • 3.10 Jeeves "Evil" Weevil
  • 3.11 Katz
  • 3.12 King of Flan
  • 3.13 Librarian
  • 3.14 Alien Brain
  • 3.15 McPhearson Phantom
  • 3.16 Mecha Courage
  • 3.17 Old Schoolteacher
  • 3.18 Queen of the Black Puddle
  • 3.19 Sandman
  • 3.20 The Big Toe
  • 3.21 The Cruel Vet
  • 3.22 The Chicken from Outer space
  • 3.23 The Empress
  • 3.24 The Great Fusilli
  • 3.25 The Precious, Wonderful, Adorable, Lovable Duckling
  • 3.26 The Snowman
  • 3.27 The Stitch Sisters
  • 3.28 Weremole
This is well over half the list. The ones that only appear in one episode do not warrant sections in this article, really, and should be left to the scope of the plot synopsis for that specific episode. Oni Lukos ct 19:49, 15 April 2008 (UTC)

Hmm..Well weremole makes a reappearance, the cruel vet, mecha courage, and I think that's it they make reappearances in one of the episodes villains try to take revenge on Courage again. Umm....yeah I'm def. gonna think about this situation.Mcelite (talk) 02:53, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

Oh, yes, you're right, the Weremole does reappear. I don't remember Mecha Courage, but I really don't think the vet reappears considering that he first appeared in the final episode, IIRC. Oni Lukos ct 03:43, 16 April 2008 (UTC)

It was one of the many episodes when the villians teamed up again Courage again, don't remember which. Also Mecha Courage was considered a favorite villain probably because it over did it trying to kill Courage (I still remember it because it was so crazy). I believe the vet was in 2 episodes, but I'm pretty sure the old schoolteacher was the last episode.Mcelite (talk) 00:46, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

The last episode was Remembrance of Courage Past/Perfect. Perfect was the segment with the schoolteacher, and the first segment was the part with the vet. Oni Lukos ct 01:00, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

Ahh. ok I see what ur talking about. hm.. I don't know maybe those two should be kept since they were the last episode and the vet actually impacted Courage's lifeMcelite (talk) 01:05, 17 April 2008 (UTC)

The demon in the matress never appeared again, but the rats that drove the matress again did appear again. StoryTellerScream a little scream 21:13, 19 April 2008 (UTC)

Mr. Nasty

Why is Mr. Nasty in the main characters section? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.95.139.248 (talk) 20:11, 3 July 2008 (UTC)

Freaky Fred

"While visiting Muriel, he gets locked in the bathroom with Courage by accident." Shouldn't this be fixed? It is clearly not an accident but on purpose by Eustace.--Pmddbzaotil (talk) 20:22, 19 August 2008 (UTC)

"Recurring" characters

A fair number of the characters mentioned as recurring either don't actually recur, or only recur in one episode in which several villains appear. That one episode doesn't actually contribute to the characters at all, and can really be written off as cameos, and thus shouldn't really be in this list. Please, the episode summaries exist for a reason. Once again, we don't need to list every single villain. Or even a large subset of them. Λύκος 02:46, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

I don't see what the problem is. Those characters that I restored have reappeared. I think it brings more depth to the article and makes it more interesting and decreases the possibility of a fan writing an entire list of other villians that only show up once. I honestly think those villians are still notable even though they only show up once or twice again. I think it's fair game plain and simple.Mcelite (talk) 20:11, 30 December 2008 (UTC)

Overlooked...

Here are just a couple things i noticed in the article, they were probably overlooked because of the controversy regarding what characters should be included...

Courage is described as a coward, and while the show's title lists him as one, he is often only shown to be cowardly around things like vinegar and baby birds... I understand this is purely subjective, but I think his bravery and plain badassness should be mentioned. Muriel is listed as Scottish, while the Courage the Cowardly Dog main article lists her as "a kindly old Welsh woman" Either way, someone is wrong, I honestly don't know what Welsh people sound like. Whether this is relevant or not I don't know, but, in Eustace's description it describes his brother and father as "currently deceased." Does that imply they are going to come back? That wouldn't be much of a stretch in this show... Benton Tarantella's description refers to Mr. Nasty as Tarantella's alter-ego. This is not the case: Mr. Nasty is Eustace's meanness and nastiness given body by a "magic camera" that filmed the Bagge family for several days, focusing on Eustace. I think the entire description of Mr. Nasty should be omitted, as it is the only way to make sense of the following sentence. Also some mention of Tarantella's agent, Lazzo, should be made. I think that somewhere in Computer's description should it be noted that he appeared in every episode in the first season. He served as Courage's go to guy and one time quasi-villain. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Bishoppendragon (talkcontribs) 23:31, 20 January 2009 (UTC)

Muriel is Scottish. Sorry about that. The episode "Rumpledkiltskin" definitely shows that. Bishoppendragon (talk) 05:09, 24 January 2009 (UTC)

Space Dino and Tarantella questions

In the Space Dino paragraph, it states that "A female space critter is seen force feeding Eustace food much to his dismay;" I don't remember that ever happening, and there's no episode citation. Did that actually occur, or is it a mistake?

Also, on an unrelated note, does anyone know (or at least have a hunch) as to who voiced Benton Tarantella? I'm curious becuase he did a good job, and I get the feeling he also did the voice on the phone in the "Demon Mattress" episode and Conway, which would make him the show's go-to guy for those creepy decayed-character voices. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.183.215.118 (talk) 00:52, 16 January 2010 (UTC)

I definitely remember Eustace being fed by a female space monster. Not sure which episode though. She was purple, with exaggerated lips and a bow on her head. 86.61.87.75 (talk) 15:10, 11 March 2010 (UTC)
It was shown in the episode "Courageous Cure".I'm completely sure about it.Max Viwe 14:58, 26 May 2010 (UTC) —Preceding unsigned comment added by Themaxviwe (talkcontribs)
