There's another description of non-locking code at InterBase -- should we cross-link ?

Strictly-speaking, even optimistic concurrency control must lock at some point (during commit). Thus, I don't think it should qualify as a "non-lock concurrency control" mechanism. Daniel Spiewak (talk) 19:34, 1 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]
