The Sai River is a major tributary river of the Gomti river, which flows through the state of Uttar Pradesh in northern India.

Geography

The source of the Sai river is a water table found in Parsai, a village of 450 households in the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh, 180km north of Uttar Pradesh capital Lucknow. From its origin at Parsai the river flows downstream towards Lucknow, south of Hardoi district, bifurcating the Lucknow district and Unnao district at Bani before flowing through Rae Bareli and Pratapgarh finally merging with the Gomti river in Jaunpur
