User Ping. I was once a biochemist then I became a science teacher. After a while I also became a school counsellor. For many years we lived in a Maori community in the far north of New Zealand where I combined teaching and counselling with raising beef and children, not necessarily in that order of priority. Now retired I live on the beach in the north west corner of the South Island of New Zealand, one of the most beautiful areas of the world. Here I potter around the estuaries in a wee tin boat, do some woodworking and climb the hills that surround us on three sides. My interests are eclectic and unpredictably subject to change. At the moment they include

  • Jane Austen
  • Freemansonry
  • Maori
  • hypnosis
  • cosmology
  • furniture especially chairs
  • woodworking
  • New Zealand
  • some aspects of history
