Information icon Hello, I'm Niteshift36. I wanted to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions have been undone because they appeared to be promotional. Respectfully, I strongly disagree that any of the factual information I restored to the article was promotional which was why I found your removal of it to be destructive editing. The municipality in question consists predominantly of gated communities: So other than the photos of the parks, malls, the Hertz arena and the Hertz corporate hq, the only other thing you can show are the gated communities. The vast majority of housing there and 100% percent of the housing that has been built in the last two decades plus are in gated communities. So it makes perfect sense to me that the wiki article would report this fact. I do not list this as neither a positive nor a negative, just as an objective reporting of what the place is. 162.254.122.227 (talk) 04:50, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits referred to above, consider creating an account for yourself or logging in with an existing account so that you can avoid further irrelevant notices.
  • I'm very familiar with what the community consists of. You're missing the point. Showing these individual, private communities isn't encyclopedic. It would be like showing pics of each store at Coconut Point Mall in an article about the mall. Random pictures of non-notable communities serve more as a real estate brochure than encyclopedic content. Things like Hertz arena or Coconut Point Mall are notable, so I left pictures of them in the article. Also, 1 picture of a topic is sufficient. No need for multiple fountains. The use of a picture is to help someone understand the article more. Overhead shots of Shadow Woods or Genova don't actually do that. Even if a single one were needed, multiple pics of essentially the same thing aren't needed. Niteshift36 (talk) 13:27, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • Actually, you have a bigger problem. Those pictures are not original work. They are mostlyWP:COPYVIO and are being nominated for deletion at the Commons. Niteshift36 (talk) 13:53, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
First, thanks for the feed back. Just to be clear, I am not in the real estate business nor have any stake in that community, nor the other ones in the area, just trying to make Wikipedia as good as I can. I did not originally post the pictures I just restored them. I saw that the wiki page for Naples, Florida also has several photos on it including the "Beach Hotel & Golf Club" so I do not understand how what you wrote applies; As to my eyes, both wiki pages were doing the same thing. No idea how you are seeing that their are issues with the photos as far as I can tell they are part of wiki commons. 162.254.122.227 (talk) 15:35, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
  • So, to be clear, you not the same person Esteroinfo? Is that what you are going to state? If you are, you can admit it. But if I have an admin look at the IP of the other account and it turns out to be you, it will likely result in a sockpuppet ban. Try reading WP:OTHERCRAPEXISTS. Just because some other page did it, doesn't make it ok. Niteshift36 (talk) 20:54, 8 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
