George Padmore (and welcome to Wikipedia!)

Hi, and welcome to Wikipedia! There seem to be many articles describing American groups called the Workers' Party. Which of them, if any, is the one George Padmore joined? None of them appears to have existed before the 1930s.

Also, please make an effort to provide third party sources for your information whenever possible. I realize the article you edited did not provide any sources for the material you changed, but scrupulous sourcing is always the goal on Wikipedia.

Again, welcome!

Response: See the Daily Worker (the Communist newspaper published in New York) for evidence that the American Communist Party was called the Workers (Communist) Party at the time Padmore joined it. (I have read extensively in the Communist newspapers of this period.) You could also see Wilson Record's The Negro and the Communist Party.

Hi. In your recent article edits, you've added some links pointing to disambiguation pages. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
