Thanks for adding the pics into the draft for me, Hafspajen, it's very much appreciated! I've a long way to go on it yet but I've managed to find plenty of refs to use. I'm just hoping that once the weather improves - it's a bit wet and miserable today - I'll then be able to get some pictures of the mausoleum, which is in some woodland a little distance from the main house and up a rather rough muddy track. I think to get Drmies to notice (s)he is sitting in the Cultural depictions of dogs article, you might need to link his/her name in the caption? SagaciousPhil - Chat 13:57, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Well done of you. Those are very good pics. He is a he, most definitely. Well, I try. Hafspajen (talk) 14:01, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Drat and double drat, I see you noticed the delicate lean on the main house picture? And here I was thinking I could start a new tourist attraction, a bit like the Leaning Tower of Pisa! SagaciousPhil - Chat 16:24, 16 January 2014 (UTC)
- Sorry Phil. It is leaning... a bit like the Leaning Tower of Pisa, yes. But probably the castle is quite verical. But you said that you will go back, and than you can take maybe a new pic? Or - crop this one? Hafspajen (talk) 16:30, 16 January 2014 (UTC)

God to have
We'd need to make it more prominent in the article, but what's your opinion of this? Adam Cuerden (talk) 17:02, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- Very nice, and a better place is doable. I would cut of just a little - NOT much, just sightly of the foregroung. It would be beneficial for the composition. But I would not touch the reflection in the water and leave quite a bit under the bridge reflection too. Crop off about ... half of the distance between the reflection of the bridge in the water and the edge of the pic as it is now. Hafspajen (talk) 17:08, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- That does cut off the top of the pagoda reflection on the right, though. Is that a problem? Adam Cuerden (talk) 21:50, 30 June 2014 (UTC)
- I meant that the pagoda reflection should be the last thing seen in water. Not a problem, but it will make the picture closer to the Golden ratio. Hafspajen (talk) 21:54, 30 June 2014 (UTC)

Your Russian saint
I fed part of the Russ WP article [5] into Bing [6] and got the following predictably garbled translation, from which you probably could glean enough for a caption.
- Míša-Samuil (real name Mikhail Lazarev; 1848 — 23 February [8 March] 1907)-pereslavsky whacky, revered in orthodoxy as he was canonized a Saint of Yaroslavl diocese.
- Mikhail Lazarev was born into a peasant family of Yam, located near Pereslavl. The name "Samuel" added people as monašestvuûŝemu person for his strict Virgin life, after the death of Samuel, priest of St. Nicholas monastery.
- With Misha's craziness. An eight year old boy he predicted Moore on the people in his village, and the villagers have demanded to kick him. It has sheltered in his cell, hieromonk Nicholas monastery, Samuel, who was the spiritual father of the boy.
- Misha has spent all his life, wandering the city and its surroundings. Often visited Trinity slobodka, liked to be in the House where the beznogogo peasant Simeon Vukolova (now the House of 21).
Does that help? Sca (talk) 15:25, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- From Google-> Mikhail Lazarev was born in a peasant family Yam village located near Pereslavl. The name "Samuel" added people as monasticism person for his strict virgin life, after the death of Samuel, celibate priest of St. Nicholas Monastery.
Since childhood, Mike took over foolishness. Eight year old lad he predicted plague on the people in his village, and the peasants demanded oust him. Sheltered him in his cell Nikolsky monastery monk Samuel, who became the spiritual father of the boy.
Throughout his life, Misha spent wandering around the city and its surroundings. Frequented Trinity 'Village, where he loved to be in the house of the peasant drunk Vukolova Simeon (now house 21).
I suppose "legless" doesn't mean "drunk"! Xanthomelanoussprog (talk) 16:36, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- Who knows- probably it does, correct - Hafspajen (talk) 16:39, 9 July 2014 (UTC)
- The link for "Trinity Village" leads to a page on it - also known as "Latrine Village" because that's where the monks went to shit. Xanthomelanoussprog (talk) 16:55, 9 July 2014 (UTC)

The article now looks fantastic. Of course I like it! Thank you very much! :) --Goose friend (talk) 13:38, 23 July 2014 (UTC)
That's right! Uhde depicts it in each one of his paintings about Jesus. I know of no other artist that captures this feeling so well, and he painted many of these scenes. You might also like his paintings Sermon at the sea, Sermon on the mount, Lord, Stay with us, Road to Emmaus 1, Road to Emmaus 2, Road to Emmaus 3, The Sermon, The Lord's Supper (2), Christ healing the sick, and Grace. These paintings are outstanding but some are in black and white because they were taken from an old book and I've not been able to find them all in color. Anyways, Uhde had things to say about this. How I'd love to see a revival of this kind of art!--Goose friend (talk) 14:18, 23 July 2014 (UTC)

Some delicious Irish coffee for you! I know it's one of your favourites ...

Thanks, that was very nice - I do liked Irish coffee after almost climbed up on the top of Sky Island by mistake. Nothing more refreshing than like a cup of that. Eh, wasn't deleting but archiving... Well, if it was anything good about that Portree hotel, it was the food. Real fluffy cream it was, (not like the one we got in the pub) and full Scottish breakfast they had in the mornings, and wonderful dinners... And if anyone said that Haggis is like a hamburger, was wrong. Not a bit like. Hafspajen (talk) 16:12, 19 November 2014 (UTC) ..gosh, only 19 sections. Hafspajen (talk) 16:17, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
Sunset Edit War
Hello Hafspajen, You were one of the folks that wanted to change some photos in the Sunset article (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sunset), but Alvesgaspar wouldn't have it. I finally decided to make a permanent change in there, and am now in an edit war with him. I put up one of my photos that gets twice the hits in Commons than the one I replaced it with gets. I can use a friend or two two reverse him as well. It should be a community effort. Please put Sunset on your "watch list", and if you see that he has reversed myself or another user, please reverse him. Perhaps even replacing another photo he likes would scare him into submission in this article. I replaced the red Venezuela photo with a bluer one named: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Burning_Yellow_Sunset.jpg You can reply here. I will watch your page. Thanks→Pocketthis (talk) 16:44, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- I am not surprised. And I really don't know what to do, because I saw that it is impossible to add any picture to that article, and in my opinion it is one-sidedly illustrated... I saw your pictures - and they are very nice and they wold add to the article. i think you need to talk to an admin. Hafspajen (talk) 16:55, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- It's only impossible because everyone allows him to rule that article. In my opinion, he is lucky he has the opening photo. However, if he keeps reversing me, I will attack that one next. Once he realizes that we are serious this time, he will have no choice but to step aside. I'm just asking to have some help reversing him. The Admins need to see that is a community effort. However, if you choose not to help......thanks for the reply, and all the best. Keep in mind that the "talk page" rules the article, and in this case the talk page speaks volumes from many users→Pocketthis (talk) 17:25, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
- I think you should try to discuss this with an admin because it is more that true that he won't allow anyone edit that article, or add any pictures but his. And this is not the way it should be. Hafspajen (talk) 17:40, 19 November 2014 (UTC)
Congrats...
... on paring this page down to a mere 3,400 words. That's an 800% reduction !! Sca (talk) 14:46, 20 November 2014 (UTC)
