2021 Saint Lucian general election
Hello. Just to let you know, independents are not usually included in infoboxes like the one used on this article. One reason being there is no picture to add, so the infobox is left permanently empty. The only exceptions to this have been when there is only one party, or only independents winning seats. Please could you stop adding it to the article. Cheers, Number 57 18:09, 29 July 2021 (UTC)
Wikipedia and copyright
Hello TRJ2008! Your additions to 3.5 Trillion Reconciliation Bill have been removed in whole or in part, as they appear to have added copyrighted content without evidence that the source material is in the public domain or has been released by its owner or legal agent under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. (To request such a release, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission.) While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues.
- You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and cite the source using an inline citation. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
- Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify the information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
- We have strict guidelines on the usage of copyrighted images. Fair use images must meet all ten of the non-free content criteria in order to be used in articles, or they will be deleted. To be used on Wikipedia, all other images must be made available under a free and open copyright license that allows commercial and derivative reuse.
- If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a legally designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into either the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
- Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps described at Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia. See also Help:Translation#License requirements.
It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. —twotwofourtysix(My talk page and contributions) 03:13, 3 September 2021 (UTC)
Recent Section to Philip J. Pierre
Hello @TRJ2008,
I have noticed your recent edits to Philip J. Pierre. Under the title of Prime Minister. This information isn't of the best of quality. See Donald Trump page where it's similar to what you have written. Moreover, this information hasn't been substantiated via independents sources of the subject. Also see what's under Mia Mottley Prime Minister section for further guidance.
- Revisions of your edit History indicate that Saint Lucia Labour Party Manifesto was being directly cited from their website which would not make that information as independent as it should be. Please see WP:V.
- The Added information has been removed. I have also added a copy of your information for restructuring as you will need to.
- If you want to cover the full topic of his tenure in office 2021-2026 you may do so. By creating an article such as Pierre's Administration (Saint Lucia) similar to the style of Presidency of Donald Trump or Presidency of Joe Biden. This will enable you to better cover the subject such as policies and plans.
- Please see here for writing your first article WP:1ST.
- If you need help please contact the Wikipedia:Teahouse
Here's the information you added to the article.
Prime Minister
Pierre took office on 28 July, 2021, after the SLP's landslide in the 2021 Saint Lucian General Election. He appointed his cabinet 8 days later.
Health
Not long after his inauguration, COVID-19 numbers began to rise, likely due to election campaigning. In a few weeks, cases had reached record levels. However, despite this, the government decriminalized certain breaches of COVID-19 protocols, and focused more on public education campaigns. Saint Lucia began administering the Pfizer vaccine on 23 August, 2021, allowing its use on persons as young as 12. His administration plans on obtaining the Cuban vaccine.
Pierre supports universal healthcare. His government plans on enacting this policy in the country by the end of their first term. He plans on finishing the St. Jude's Hospital by 2022, and constructing more health centers across the country.
Education
As one of their first acts, the SLP government began the payment of facility fees for all public school students. They also plan to pay off CXC fees for all students, and to provide all students with devices. Pierre instructed the provision of 4 000 devices for students, as school opened virtually on 13 September, 2021. His administration plans to also make changes to the School curriculum, including the teaching of African and Caribbean History, and the introduction of Spanish, French and Mandarin, at first entry into the educational system.
Crime
To reduce Saint Lucia's spiking crime rate, Pierre wants to increase public surveillance cameras, provide officers with more resources, and create digital databases for traffic officers. His administration plans on focusing more on criminal reforms, and reducing poverty and unemployment to reduce crime.
Environment
The Pierre administration plans on investing more money into green energy. They seek to improve the quality of Saint Lucia's oceans and to reduce land pollution.
Economy
Pierre's administration will seek major tax reforms, including the removal of property taxes and income tax for persons who make less than $4 000 dollars a month. He wants raise Saint Lucia's minimum wage; he has not mentioned what it would be raised to.
Social Issues
Pierre supports banning discrimination on the basis of race, religion, sex and sexual orientation. He supports the legalization of marijuana. Akim Ernest (talk) 16:23, 16 September 2021 (UTC)

Regarding 2024 Texas House page
Hello. I noticed that you have been adding candidates to the 2024 Texas House page. Thank you for contributing, but please don't make a new citation every time. On Wikipedia, you only need to define the citation the first time you use it; then you can just use the citation's name for every other instance. So instead of putting "< ref>https://candidate.texas-election.com/Elections/getQualifiedCandidatesInfo.do</ref>" next to every new candidate, you can just put "< ref name = TX2024/>" (but remove the space after the < ) BottleOfChocolateMilk (talk) 04:12, 13 December 2023 (UTC)
