Myth-Science of the Gatekeepers

Hello Yoshi,

I am representing the Rainbow Serpent nonprofit organization and we are checking in on a multitude of rejected wikipedia pages. Our biggest page, Myth-Science of the Gatekeepers, seems like a good place to start! We're hoping you can provide a little more direction as to why these pages were rejected - i.e., what exactly is missing in terms of citations.

Thank you so much, Ariel ArielB RS (talk) 20:55, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

ArielB RS, first off, are you paid by Rainbow Serpent in any way? You MUST declare this first. Please see WP:PAID on how to do so. Thank you. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 23:34, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Jannik Sinner’s languages

I ask you to not revert my corrections to his language background. Infact his mother tongue is a specific dialect not German, and He doesn’t have difficulties speaking Italian. It’s mandatory in South Tyrol wich is a bilingual region to study Italian and German. Thank you for your collaboration. 91.209.212.39 (talk) 19:26, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

You need to provide sources. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 19:41, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Changes to Alight

Hi, why did you roll back the updates I just made to the entry for Alight? The information on that entry is very dated, and the new details I added are mostly from the organization's updated website. GiovanniGF (talk) 20:14, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there GiovanniGF,
On mobile right now so apologies for any spelling mistakes. You also deleted a bunch of well sourced content with your edit as well. Could you try to incorporate the current info as well? In addition, you seem to rely on the same website a bunch. I know it looks like its Alight’s but I would like to ask you if you can also find some reliable sources from other websites as well, that could reflect the same information. I understand you mean well, but we try not to rely on primary sources too much. If after you search, cannot find any other sources that could possibly reference the same data, then you can use the primary source as a reference. I hope this helps! P.S., try not to put external links and references in section headers. Thanks, and happy editing. Yoshi24517 (mobile) (talk) (Very Busy) 21:04, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, I will try to find additional sources. And just a note that the content I deleted was outdated - many of the countries currently listed are no longer served by the organization. GiovanniGF (talk) 13:10, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question from Mick Dunne (23:22, 27 August 2024)

Hi Yoshi. I've been trying to make an entry for my father, under people named Dunne, and it keeps being deleted. Now the page is semi-protected. What can I do? --Mick Dunne (talk) 23:22, 27 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there Mick Dunne,
Let me get this straight, you are trying to create a page for your father? If that’s the case, you would need to have an article made about him first, and with that comes finding sources that show he is notable in some way, and has had news or online coverage of him somewhere. WP:NOTABILITY can be a guide here. WP:RS can help show what kind of sources to use.
Secondly, since he is your father, you do indeed have a conflict of interest here. As such, I would recommend that if you want to create an article, create it in the Draft space, where you can work on it. This way, you can also submit it through the articles for creation process, which I would highly recommend you do due to the conflict of interest.
Hope this helps. Yoshi24517 (mobile) (talk) (Very Busy) 00:05, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I will get down to this soon. He was an actor with the Abbey Theatre in Dublin, and with many other Irish theatre companies, and appeared in English films.
His plays are listed in the Abbey Theatre Archives wesite as Michael Dunne and mícheál ó duinn.
I have professional photos, his portfolio, theatre programmes etc. and much more information. He toured the American east coast with The Young Ireland Theatre Company. His grandson Tal Michael Dunne has his own Wikipedia page. Mick Dunne (talk) 00:40, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Nothing removed

You claimed I removed content. I added that Telles was found guilty on all charges and explained the addition. Titanic4151912 (talk) 19:30, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Well Titanic4151912, I invite you to review this diff, where you deleted 1,000+ bytes without explaining why. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 19:33, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
inhad pressed the enter key one too many creating a large gap. I also was watching the virdict live on August 28 and therefore added that he was found guilty on all charges on August 28. That's where I accidentally pressed the enter key too many times. Titanic4151912 (talk) 19:37, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Titanic4151912, Ah, I figured as much. That happens to me a lot. I would suggest for you to redo your edit, but it seems to have already been made, with supporting sources. Apologies for that, I'll remove the warning, as it has now been explained to me. Happy editing. Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 19:45, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

About autocomplete

Hi yoshi. Hope you are well. I wanted to ask a question about Wikipedia autocomplete. Usually when we write stuff on Wikipedia search bar, after writing a word an autocomplete appears. There are certain articles that are less popular and not significant that will appear on the autocomplete. Is there a way to alter the autocomplete in such a way that these article suggestions will not appear when we write a word on the autocomplete Knightknight12345 (talk) 04:15, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Knightknight12345,
I have zero idea how the autocomplete works in the search bar. Sorry about that! Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 23:51, 29 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Do you know someone else I can ask this question? Knightknight12345 (talk) 18:33, 31 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Knightknight12345, apologies for the delay, IRL stuff is making me very busy. I am not sure where to ask. My suggestion would be the Teahouse, and just mentioning it to you now, they may give you an answer you may not want to hear. Doesn't hurt to try asking though. I hope this helps! Question from Seanstatguy (01:02, 3 September 2024)

Hello! Do you know how to add the flags of people in Wikipedia pages? If so that would be very appreciated. --Seanstatguy (talk) 01:02, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Seanstatguy, and welcome to Wikipedia! Could you be a little more specific when you mean to add the flags of people? Do you mean like flags of a person's nationality, such as American (USA flag) or French (France flag)? Let me know, so I can better assist you! :) Yoshi24517 (Chat) (Very Busy) 01:54, 3 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
