The Flag of Aracaju is one of the official symbols of the municipality of Aracaju, capital city of the state of Sergipe, Brazil.
Its design is based on the State Flag, that is, it has four horizontal stripes of the same width alternating the colors green and gold. In place of the blue square on the state flag's upper left corner, there's a white field with its height and width being equivalent to half of the flag's total width. In the field's center is the Coat of Arms of Aracaju.[1]
Symbolism
[edit]So as the state flag, the colors on the Flag of Aracaju (green, gold and white) represent the integration of the city and its state to Brazil, meanwhile the coat of arms represents the municipality.
