Itivand-e Shomali Rural District (Persian: دهستان ایتیوند شمالی) is in Itivand District of Delfan County, Lorestan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Taqiabad-e Kan Kot.[4]

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population (as a part of Kakavand District) was 3,126 in 622 households.[5] There were 2,923 inhabitants in 771 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 2,918 in 833 households. The most populous of its 41 villages was Taqiabad-e Kan Kot, with 382 people.[2]

In March 2022, Itivand-e Jonubi and Itivand-e Shomali Rural Districts were separated from the district in the establishment of Itivand District.[3]
