Sangar Rural District (Persian: دهستان سنگر) is in the Central District of Faruj County, North Khorasan province, Iran.[3] Its capital is the village of Yengeh Qaleh.[4]

Population

At the time of the 2006 National Census, the rural district's population was 7,394 in 1,870 households.[5] There were 8,381 inhabitants in 2,364 households at the following census of 2011.[6] The 2016 census measured the population of the rural district as 5,641 in 1,906 households. The most populous of its 27 villages was Kharaq, with 1,418 people.[2]
