- Keep Seems to be a notable photographer. Described as one of the world’s top music photographers, in Nashville Arts Magazine. Profiled in the Sunday Telegraph ROCK'S ROYAL PHOTOGRAPHER; How did Alan Messer, an upstart 'snapper' from Kent, become a friend and confidant to some of music's biggest names? By Alex Hannaford (available in the Wikipedia Library). Seems to be plenty of coverage of his photos off and online, another example https://eu.tennessean.com/picture-gallery/entertainment/music/2014/05/18/photographer-alan-messer-plans-book-on-johnny-cash/9249599/ Piecesofuk (talk) 14:57, 2 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep - It is clear that he is a notable rock photographer. I've improved the article referencing, adding citations to the Sunday Telegraph, Nashville Arts Magazine (per Piecesofuk's research above), and to USA Today. Meets WP:GNG, The article can be improved, but it should not be deleted. Netherzone (talk) 04:15, 7 July 2022 (UTC)
- Keep under WP:GNG. Noted this was nominated 9 minutes after the article was created. A proper WP:BEFORE should look at sources that exist, not just what is currently in the article. -Kj cheetham (talk) 09:45, 8 July 2022 (UTC)
