Timeline of Motorized bicycle history: User nominating article for deletion believes the creator has a point to prove. The delete nomination was right away (as soon as the article was created) contrary to WP:RFC: "the first resort should always be to discuss the problem with the other user. Try to resolve the dispute on your own first." Debate also concerns the relevance of facts being submited (inclusion vs. noninclusion) and the idea of duplicating information from a timeline within the article motorized bicycle. Discussions are escallating from mediocre wikietiquette to bad. References:

As nom, I dispute this. We were already talking about a history section in the article Motorized bicycle but had pretty much agreed that we were having difficulty finding verifiable information. The timeline article was split off by CyclePat with initial content that had been removed from the main article as being either irrelevant or insignificant, and no attempt was made at that point to redress the lack of information. It was only after the AfD nom that Pat went out to solicit input on the timeline article, which would have been better done much earlier in the motorized bicycle article. There was then (and remains now) no need for a separate timeline for this subject as it has very few obvious milestones, all of which are now covered in the main article. Right now we are debating the way forward on the timeline, and the consensus is not to continue with a timeline of the motorized bicycle, but to try to find a format which will allow a (more useful) combined timeline of a wider set or subset of powered two-wheel transport.
Now we have a couple of editors on the timeline, and are working on what it might become, once again the consensus is that the content Pat added is not significant and should not be included. Pat's immediate response is to suggest another article, this time a list of motorised bicycles, in ordeer to give him a place to list his pet item (which is already on the article for its manufacturer, CCM (bicycle manufacturer)). I said on several occasions that all Pat has to do if he wants this in the main article is to demonstrate its significance. - Just zis  Guy, you know?
