- Keep. How long does it take to see all 251 towns and gores in Vermont--two days? Just kidding. To my own surprise, I find not only the extensive Vermont coverage you'd expect (such as [1]) but also feature articles in the Boston Globe [2] or [3] and the Los Angeles Times [4] and an Associated Press piece in the The Daily Gazette (Schenectady) [5]. According to the book Vermont: A History (W. W. Norton & Company, 1984), the group had 5000 members and "draws huge crowds to its annual dinner each summer" in Montpelier.
