Abbas (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) [4], recreation of Abdirahman Ali (edit | talk | history | links | watch | logs) [5], a page previously made by Jonhman12 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) [6], which while not explicitly marked as such is likely another related account given other overlaps, for example on Som Production. Also compare the "helpful" grammatical edits made by these accounts to disguise their true purpose for example [7] and [8] with [9] and [10].
192.145.175.0/24 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) overlaps with the master on multiple different pages, making similar edits [11], [12], [13]; same for 102.38.51.0/24 (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) see for example [14] and [15].
I don't really see the need for the checkuser tool here since by conducting their logged out editing in such a transparent fashion they have already made their IP ranges obvious and no other accounts are currently involved on those pages. - My thanks to the editor who created this report. I already had my suspicions about both the account and some of the IP addresses, but the editor has made a much more thorough investigation than I had found time to do, and made the sock-puppetry unambiguously clear. I have blocked the account and deleted some of the pages created by it. I am in the process of checking IP editing to determine exactly what ranges should be blocked; my impression so far is that that will not include the whole of the ranges listed above by the editor who created this report, but will include some other IP addresses not covered by those ranges. - All of the editing has now been reverted or deleted, apart from a couple of minor things such as an edit to the sockpuppet account's talk page. As far as I can see, all of the relevant editing in the IP ranges mentioned are actually from the smaller ranges 102.38.51.128/25 & 102.38.51.64/26, so I have blocked those. There were also a couple of edits from the isolated IP address 192.145.174.252, which I have also blocked. That IP address has previously been blocked multiple times as a proxy, but its close connection to the other IP addresses used makes me think it's very likely not being used as a proxy this time. I've also blocked 192.145.174.224/27 for a shorter time. I have tagged the account, and I think that wraps it all up. JBW (talk) 19:28, 23 June 2024 (UTC)
